Great company to work for! It's great having a boss who is willing to invest in the tools we need (pizza) to get our jobs done efficiently. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed, but we all know we are expected to do our jobs well. We're basically like a mini-version of Google that builds ultra-cool websites and web-applications...
David Benton (my personal Web designer), and one of the reviewers below, is a now former employee of Webfitters who worked for them for about 1.5 years and was unceremoniously fired by Webfitters in the middle of my website project (so his review is essentially fake), and John, the owner of Webfitters, decided he wasn't going to tell me that he was going to fire David (for whatever reason) until after he'd done it. In fact, I didn't find out he fired David until I sent an email to David to check the status of my project and received a response back stating David no longer worked for Webfitters. On top of this, I had been pressured during my project to make my website go live in August of 2016 when it wasn't even CLOSE to being functional (to put this into perspective, it is now the end of November 2016 and my site STILL isn't ready to go live, and I have been working with a new company to clean up Webfitters' mess for the last two months). Additionally, John at Webfitters loves to push his buddies at another local company, Khrome, onto his clients for graphic design purposes, and they charge about $2-3K for one logo design when you can get the same work done by guys like LogoMoko on Fiverr for $30. John doesn't care about providing value to others and will try to milk you out of as much money as he can in as short a time period as he can and then fire your Web designer in the middle of your project without telling you, thereby leaving you as having paid $12K for a non-functional and essentially worthless website that you could have created yourself with a Wordpress template if only you had the patience to learn a little about Wordpress. Oh, and one last thing: I have been made aware that John had a very negative personal opinion about me and some of my business ventures which had nothing to do with him or my website, and which he never shared with me himself (I found out about them through someone else). Despite his negative opinion of me and my business, he sure didn't have any problem taking $12K of my money for the p.o.s. website (or lack thereof) his company provided me for it. If you are seeking a Web design company with zero integrity, no accountability, and no respect for its clients' time and money, then go with Webfitters.
I've been working with Webfitters for several years now. I moved to them after my website had been hosted with a large, online corporate company for several years prior (and my experience had been pretty miserable there). A friend told me about Webfitters and I decided to switch hosting companies. I cannot say enough good about this company - their response to issues and questions is swift and gracious. They are always willing to help me with whatever questions I have and they are constantly working at finding ways to improve the functionality and speed (among other things) of my website. I live thousands of miles away from their office and it isn't a hindrance at all to the service I receive from them. I'm able to talk to and email real, live people - not automated forms and delayed response messages. The Webfitters team is talented and knowledgeable, and I honestly don't think you can get a better web hosting/technical experience from any other company.
I scheduled a meeting with a representative from Webfitters and he never showed up. I never received a call, email or any indication as to why I was stood up. I’m a small business owner looking for ways to better promote my business online and when I called in to speak with someone he tried to talk me into a new website for $5000! It’s my assumption that he didn’t want to give me the time of day since I showed no interest in spending that kind of money.
