Customer for many years - Never truly has your interest at, only what it going to be the easiest and cheapest solution for them. Be wary unless you're interested in dealing with "issues they're currently working to resolve" yet, never do. Customer service is their last priority, even with complaints.
Very Poor Responsiveness. How many times are we required to email and call Main Street before they reply. Apparently, the answer is several. They are always nice and cordial when you can reach them, but then they rarely ever complete the tasks that are discussed in the phone conversations. It is a never ending exercise in frustration. They do not appear to be in any hurry to ever help us get our website operating the way we have discussed with them. I would not recommend working with this company.
I became a client of MainStreetHost one year go- January of 2017. MSH did a great job of walking me through their process and has done a consistent job of keeping me up to date of my internet traction and has helped me with my business in many other ways that I had not thought of for ways to get more attention from Social Media. I took the leap 3 years ago and it's the best marketing move I've ever made. I've freelanced as a speaker/comedian for 30 years, and always stressed when December arrived and I had only one or two bookings in the coming year. Thanks to MSH, the past two years I've had more than $15,000 in bookings before the New Year arrived. I'm in for the long haul.
Absolutely terrible! Stay away from this company. The reviews should be enough to stop anyone from doing business with this company. They cold called me to gage my interest and they were lucky because at first I was interested. Everything sounded great, I spoke with a woman by the name of Judi. I thank god that I took the time to do my due diligence on this company before giving them a dime or signing a contract. The owner should be ashamed of himself for allowing this many bad reviews to pile up. "If your service is so good, what's the need to cold call or beg for clients".
Paid $1,400 / year for 8 pages of optimization. Not only did they randomly select the pages after granting specific instructions, I could never reach them to tell them they had optimized incorrectly. Senior Managers failed to respond to emails or calls, and when I discontinued my service a month later, they only refunded $700. For the record, that is one month of work and they charged me a 6-month rate for "services rendered." I explained I was happy to compensate them for the "services rendered" but wanted to know what work had been completed, how they justified charging me a 6-month rate, or how they intended to work beyond their budget if it cost that much for one month's work. No response. I will forever recommend any company BUT MainStreet Host. Terrible customer service, and I saw ZERO work completed or rise in my SEO rankings!!! Now that I have read all the reviews, I believe I will be submitting a report to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
I got a cold call from a very nice gentleman (5 stars) who offered an SEO report for $5. I went ahead and ordered it. Then I got a call from another lady to set up a meeting to go over the report. I went ahead to be nice but had no interest in switching from my free service to theirs especially at $1,400. With the call came a hard sale speech in which I was told we didn't show as number 1. I have had the conversation and everyone I have asked has said we are first to show except for ads. The lady would not listen but insisted the company hosting our site was not worth anything and we had to do SEO in order to show. Anytime a company will not listen is an indication they are not to be worked with. I would not recommend them and have instructed all my staff to not take their calls. Also the price is astronomical compared to other companies we have priced and those companies have a much better review history.
I have been a customer for 3 years. They convinced me to sign with them saying that they would double my business calls in 3 months. They did not, they tripled them in 2 months. I had to hire help to keep up. They continue to prove themselves with web exposure and have finally got me in the top 10 of a google search. They built me a fantastic site and maintain all my social media. Well worth my investment!
I had used many different companies in the past with poor results. I spoke with a good friend of mine who is having great success and they recommended Mainstreethost to me. I begin service with them several years ago and I am very impressed with my results! Mike Andrews who heads up my account there has gone above and beyond for me! I cannot say enough good things about this company and highly recommend them to anyone!
Billed my client without her permission. Cut me out of important calls and emails to discuss important details of services. Salesperson insulted my religious background for no reason. Little to no technical support. No written agreement or explanation of services provided. Total scammers. RESPONSE to below: OF COURSE you have no record of this! How convenient. A lie on top of more lies; makes perfect sense.
