To be self-employed? Initially, Oswald Longo did not waste any thought on this idea. After his apprenticeship as a lithographer, he gained his first professional experience abroad. He was then hired by the printing company Theil in Bolzano. Longo loved his work there and incidentally made a large number of beautiful hand-lithographed posters that show his exceptional skills as a lithographer today. But in the mid-50s, the printing company Theil had to close surprisingly and Oswald Longo lost his job. In 1957 he decided to start his own business: Fotolito Longo.
