We were deeply unsatisfied with the performance of Bowler Hat SEO. The initial audit was vastly expensive but, largely convinced by reviews on this site and others of the quality of their service, decided to go ahead. Hand on heart it was the worst £600 I spent on digital marketing in 2019. A) the audit was heavily delayed, and required us to proactively chase BH for it and B), when it did arrive, it was wafer-thin. Some generic checkboxes ticked or unticked...a little hastily compiled analysis...and that was about it. To put this audit in context, a similar document from PPH which cost 1/10th as much delivered, indisputably, far more value and was delivered promptly and without the bandwidth-sapping pursuit at our end. When a complaint was raised this was repeatedly ignored until the CEO finally appeared and refused the request for a 50% refund. Further emails requesting a refund were ignored. In my personal opinion BH are likely a skilled and technically proficient company - but it's a great pity that we didn't really benefit from that as they were evasive and seemingly overstretched, at least in the window when we dealt with them. A final request for the partial refund was requested and ignored some time ago, and this is the result.
